Collaborative Agencies and Partnerships
MBHG has, at the invitation of local school administrators, presented workshops, special programming, and professional development training to students and their families, school staff, and the surrounding community on subjects such as: mental health issues in minority population, successful strategies to utilize when working with minority children and their families, and leadership skills.
MBHG has presented various seminars, workshops, and group events, focusing on: the benefits of counseling, educating pastors on how to deal with mental health issues,and education and prevention group programming for members of all ages.
MBHG’s staff has worked closely with several local hospitals (Summa Health System and Akron Children’s Hospital) providing professional development training and collaborative service delivery.
MBHG has collaborated with Summit County Department of Job and Family Services to provide evaluation and auditing services for its Adult Protective Service program and as a site organizer and site provider for its Summer Youth Jobs Program.
MBHG has collaborated with The Campaign to Change Direction to change the culture in America about mental health, mental illness, and wellness; as part of a coalition of concerned citizens, nonprofit leaders, and leaders from the private sector.
MBHG has collaborated with Summa Center for Health Equity (SCHE). We provide behavioral health services, professional education training and group services to the patients they serve.
MBHG has collaborated with the CDC (Child Development Council of Franklin County) to provide Adult Education and Life Skills Programs for Head Start parents in the Franklin County community.
